Interesting Fact

We received an interesting email, and we’d like to share it with you:

When visiting Pt. Vicente Lighthouse February 2015, one of the coast guard auxiliary volunteers indicated that East Brothers Light Station in San Pablo
Bay, Pt. Fermin in San Pedro, and the original Port Hueneme lighthouses were all based upon the same architectural Victorian style lighthouse plan.

This is an interesting piece of history, it would be nice to know this on your website for those interested in CA history, and light house buffs.

The fact that at one point in time, there were 3 Victorian lighthouses with the same designs on the west coast is quite interesting. (I am enclosing a photo of East Brothers LIght Station, from a visit last Oct 2014–pls forgive the plastic chair in the front!).

Thank you Mary T. for sharing this with us!
